# Vision for Rupi

Rupi's long-term objective is to become the universal credit bureau for the internet economy.

Just as Equifax became the default credit infrastructure for the 20th century workforce, Rupi will become the default underwriting layer for the 21st century workforce — the one that earns, saves, and transacts on-chain.

The network effect is structural: as more platforms integrate the Rupi API — neobanks, exchanges, wallets, payroll providers, payment apps — the Verified Income Profile becomes the de facto credit signal for stablecoin users globally. Every new platform integration expands both the data coverage and the switching cost. Any platform that removes Rupi loses the ability to underwrite its own users for credit. That is the moat.

Phase progression:

* **Phase 1:** Income verification API (current)
* **Phase 2:** Risk scoring layer
* **Phase 3:** Payments and repayment rails
* **Phase 4:** AI decisioning and automated underwriting
* **Phase 5:** Universal on-chain credit bureau
